Answer

What is the difference between transcription and memory?

The difference between transcript text and project memory.

Answer

Transcription converts audio or video into text. Memory organizes that text into durable context that can be returned to later. A transcript answers "what was said?" Project memory helps answer "what happened with this client, patient, site, matter, or operation over time?"

Cairn uses transcription as the beginning of the workflow, then connects it to projects, AI questions, reports, todos, calendar items, and follow-ups.
